The Albert Einstein Institution is a nonprofit organization founded by Dr. Gene Sharp in 1983 to advance the study and use of strategic nonviolent action in conflicts throughout the world. They are committed to the defense of freedom, democracy, and the reduction of political violence through the use of nonviolent action. The Institution has been responsible for the translation and dissemination of some of the most influential texts on nonviolent action. Many of these works have been studied among resistance movements worldwide.
We created a new identity for AEI that highlights the power of individuals and their ability to affect change through nonviolent methods. The mark and guidance was adopted to bring the work, research, and influence of Gene Sharp and the organization into broader public recognition and dialogue.
